Student poets from the Midwestern States may enter.
Top entries are published in an anthology. Over
$3000 in cash and prizes are awarded.
Schools with 15 or more poets accepted receive a Writing Achievement Award and
qualify to apply for one of our $250 Language Arts Grants.
There are 4 divisions: Grades K-3,
4-6, 7-9, and 10-12 with 10 winners in each division.
Poem must be the poet’s original work and be in English.
There is a 21 Line maximum poem length.

Essays must be no longer than 250 words
The number of words used must be written at the bottom of the essay
Each essay must be original, have a title, and be in English
Teachers with five or more students accepted to be published receive a FREE book
Schools with 15 or more writers accepted receive a Writing Achievement Award and
